Beyoncé Knowles is a Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer, songwriter, producer, actress, dancer and model. As a frontman for a girl team called Destiny’s Child, it exploded into the public consciousness back in the 1990s, and since then her career has been unbroken. Beyoncé was born in 1981 in Houston Texas, to parents of African-American and Creole descent, Mathew Knowles and Tina Knowles, respectively.

While her record label did not predict any potential hits from the project, they were proved wrong by the critical and commerical success of Crazy In Love, Baby Boy, Me, Myself and I, and Naughty Girl. “Crazy In Love” and “Baby Boy” reached the summit of the Billboard Hot 100 while “Me, Myself and I” and “Naughty Girl” peaked at numbers four and three, respectively.
Subsequently, Beyoncé won several awards at the 46th Grammy Awards including Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “Dangerously in Love 2”, Best R&B Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
Flashback – Beyoncé and Jay’s marriage has been under scrutiny since footage emerged of the singer’s sister, Solange Knowles, attacking him in an elevator at a Met Ball after party in early May, as the ‘Pretty Hurts’ hitmaker looked on passively.
